About

Volunteer parents who want to bring awareness and resources to all aspects of family life.

Our organization focuses on providing parenting education and resources to parents of children in grades K-12. The Parenting Continuum is a partnership consisting of volunteer parents from Los Gatos Union School District and Los Gatos High School. We partner with Saratoga High School's PTSO by supporting each other's events.

We are a group of volunteers who want to learn about the common struggles our parents and their children face as we move through the school years and accompany them into adulthood. We do this by talking with parents and with our school administrators to uncover common areas of interest for our speakers to address. Our partner with and support the initiatives of Project Cornerstone.

We bring parents together in a presentation forum with professionals who are experts in their field. These professionals share their valuable knowledge in areas such as family communication, substance use, stress reduction, and overall well-being. We continue to explore these areas outside of the presentation through monthly group meetings. By having access to these presentations and monthly groups, parents find companionship in this parenting journey. We are better equipped to make choices that support our children in becoming health and happy human beings, who then become contributing members to their families and communities.

What Parenting Continuum Means to Me

"I have really enjoyed volunteering with Parenting Continuum. It has given me a chance to brush up on parenting skills and make some wonderful like-minded friends. It keeps me involved in the community and educated on current issues that we parents face as the world changes and our children continue to grow within it."

Barbara McInerney, Parent Volunteer

“Organizing events for PC makes me engage with an abundance of topics and educational challenges. Reseraching what we can do about the challenges parents today have, has taught me a lot for my own family. I enjoy giving guidance to others and helping families thrive.”

Andrea Anderson, Parent Volunteer

"Our Parenting Continuum has helped educate our Los Gatos parent community for years. They understand our needs and do whatever it takes to find appropriate resources and guest speakers. Thank you, PC, for the asset building you do for our youth and for the exemplary education you provide for our parents."

Clare Vickers, Assistant Principal
